Whatever you are doing this weekend, I give you my best wishes as we mark 70 years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
This Platinum Jubilee will be the only one of our lifetimes and it a perfect moment, to bring citizen's together and pay our collective thanks to The Queen, in marking an extraordinary milestone of serving our nation and the Commonwealth.
It made me attending Wolverhampton's Beacon Lighting last evening an immense honour and it makes my participation this weekend, as 1 of 200 Volunteers with either the National Citizen Service (NCS) or Lloyds Banking Group at Sunday's Jubilee Pageant, one of the proudest honours I have ever had.
Knowing of the opportunities I have and the people I've engaged with, giving voluntary service to an event that celebrates over seven decades of service of our nation's ultimate leader and spirit feels incredibly exciting and even if Sunday will be long and quite possibly wet, I am looking forward to every moment of it.
This on top of a productive few weeks past since the Local Elections, which included Judging at Solutions for the Planet's Regional Final on May 16th, alongside passing the 1st part of my Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship's End Point Assessment at Birmingham 2022 and this week being part of an excellent session with Young Combined Authority colleagues, on the ongoing development of the Trailblazer Devolution Deal for the WMCA, gives me extreme pride.
And with both the British Grand Prix and the Commonwealth Games fast approching, means this weekend will be another busy but tremendous moment to saviour.
Happy Jubilee folks and Long May She Reign!
