CITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON COUNCIL ELECTION CANDIDATE - THURSDAY MAY 4TH 2023
I ran with Wolverhampton Labour, supported by The Co-operative Party in the Penn Ward, for May 4th's Local Elections after being Candidate in Tettenhall Wightwick in 2021 and Tettenhall Regis in 2022. Do see below my message to residents and the pledges I took to residents
Dear Resident,
It is my honour to be one of three Labour Party Candidate's for Penn ward at May 4th 2023’s all-out Council Elections and is also Proudly Endorsed by The Co-operative Party.
I'm delighted to be standing alongside your experienced Councillor since 2018 in Celia Hibbert and the experienced Mohammed Naseem, within an election that will shape the future of Penn for years to come.
Penn is full of decent people, huge talent and fantastic businesses, but alongside Celia who stands up for folk, Penn has two Conservative Councillors which only speak for the vested interests and fail to fight for ordinary people in the Council Chamber.
As someone who was first in my family to attend University and having worked in the Charity, Cultural, Inventory and Major Events sectors by age 25 and also having represented the city's young people: despite being an BAME Autistic lad, raised by a single Mother in childhood and always struggling for income, makes me incredibly proud of all I've achieved.
I want that for YOU and your family not least during this Cost of Living Crisis - which remember YOU'RE NOT ALONE within: through giving back to this city which has given me so much, since making Wolverhampton my home in August 2009.
I want that kind opportunity for all residents in Penn and I will put that at the heart of all I do in keeping streets clean, protecting green spaces such as the Vicarage Conservation Area, championing Social Care and gaining more investment for its people, including to continue development at schools following the £1 Million expansion at St Bartholomew’s Primary.
Together, let’s Build a Proud and Productive Penn and to make that happen, give ALL 3 VOTES FOR LABOUR on May 4th!
