Dear Resident,
I want to state how much of an honour it would be for you to place your trust in me and Elect me as Tettenhall Regis's first ever Labour and Co-operative Councillor.
With a Cost of Living Crisis taking full affect, alongside the lack of action to make our streets safe, the lack of investment to save the planet and the continued slashing of our City Council's budget, both makes me angry but also fired up, knowing of what can be done for people and the amazing impact which Local Authority's can have on people's lives.
Knowing I'm a Autistic 24 year-old whose come from a family whose struggled on the breadline; but managed to study, get an awesome job in a major events company, advocate for disabled and ethnically diverse people through a leading regional disability right's charity, Co-Chair a regional Board of 16-25 year-olds that reflects our wonderful area and even be a volunteer at the home of Motorsport, makes me stand up with deep pride and shows what people can achieve.
It's that sense of purpose which would drive me; not least in supporting measures including the £1 Million Cost of Living Crisis Support Fund, funding for those on Free School Meals, the highly successful Wolves at Work scheme, for better buses, protecting our greenbelt through a Brownfield First policy, the Yo! Programme for young people, staging more events at WV Active Aldersley and getting the best deal for Regis's brilliant small and independent businesses.
May 5th delivers a chance to send an historic and blunt message to the Conservatives, that enables a new, youthful and compassionate representative to serve the people of Aldersley, Claregate and North Tettenhall and can unlike the Conservatives representation on Council - is actually able to work with fellow Councillors and get things done.
"The Opportunity to Serve; that is all I ask" and it would be the greatest privilege to help Build A Regis For ALL.
Vote Kashmire Hawker and Labour and Co-operative on May 5th and help make that happen!
Many Thanks and Best Wishes
Kashmire
