WOLVERHAMPTON - 18:15PM BST: WEDNESDAY APRIL 7TH, 2021
It is a terrific feeling, that I do formally announce my Vision for the people of Tettenhall Wightwick for May 6th's Local Elections!
The 12 key areas of focus, came from hearing resident's issue over the phone, via a good campaign consultation with Party Members and the matters that across the city and the region - strike at the heart of our people.
My case is simple and is strong: that post COVID-19 there can be no return to the past; that our record as a proud and progressive Labour Council - can be strengthened through representation in Wightwick and that ultimately: such a ward which has a tremendous history, can have a glorious future, by sharing a sense of compassion, of care and of decency.
This is what will be my driving force, what will enable progression in quality of life to be made and together - help build A New Future, with A NEW WIGHTWICK right at it's very heart!

MY VISION FOR WIGHTWICK
- Fighting to protect Health Services across Wightwick - particuarly at the Surgeries in Castlecroft and Rock House, which provide crucial community health services
- Helping to restore Community Policing numbers in all areas - which have been savagely hit by Conservative Austerity
- Work in partnership with the ward's incredible Cultural and Heritage locations - including Wightwick Manor, Smestow Valley and Transport Heritage Centre; in helping to promote such places, ensuring that funding is strengthened and places become as accessible as possible
- Fighting to improve Housing in all corners of the ward; particuarly for those who are affected by High Rent Rates, who tenent with unsupportive Landlords and live in Sub-Standard Properties; some of which are not fit for human habitation
- Giving my fullest support, with all those seeking to tackle crime - particuarly Car Theft which has become a significant problem in recent months and working alongside Tettenhall, Compton & Wightwick Neighbourhood Watch; who are a brilliant example of seeking to reduce such problems
- Making every part of Wightwick as Clean and as Green as possible - with more Eco-Friendly Buses, the expansion of the WM Cycle Hire scheme and installation of more Electric Charging Points - as part of the City Council's mission of a Carbon Neutral City by 2028
- Supporting every School across Wightwick, in seeking greater investment (whether buildings, new technology and more) and being strong in dialogue with teachers, students and parents - to hear what they want
- Backing the plan of keeping and investing in places of local importance - including the Library and Tettenhall Pool and ensuring the ward's Foodbanks, Charities (including Compton Care) and Religious Organisations are backed every step of the way; in the outstanding work they do
- Fighting for Greener Transport - particularly on the buses where standards are poor and ensuring there is choice for passengers; through lobbying for a Franchised System
- Improved Accessibility in Wightwick; particuarly for the Residents of Grove Lane, across the beautiful Smestow Valley and in every single business, with a focus of ensuring People with Hidden Disabilities can be feel as comfortable as possible, whilst going about there daily lives
- Support everyone - whether individuals and organisations, for Job Creation and getting folk back into secure work; particuarly focusing on Young People, Small Businesses, Manufactoring and Green Industries
- Form a Wightwick Futures Forum - that works with and engages the Ward's Young People between 11-25 years, so MY Generation are able to express what changes they wish and thus opening opportunities for stronger youth representation, with City of Wolverhampton Youth Council
